Security deposit cap
Ohio law does not limit how much a landlord can charge for a security deposit. (Deposits exceeding $50 or one month's rent, whichever is greater, accrue 5% annual interest if the tenant stays 6 or more months — a separate rule from the deposit amount itself.)
